Getting a lot of Server Errors lately, After the master server went up I have run a server pretty much 24/7
Went fine the first couple of days but the last day I have gotten a LOT of error messages
like
16:53:56 -- ERROR: Error 'Type mismatch' occured in (DEMISE --
Server)MAINMOD2:iwhalRecordItemInLibary
Doesn’t seem to help with reboot and restart of server get it back again, and it doesn’t list in a txt error file either
I have been able to narrow it down though It seems to be user related not corruption of server files!
Noticed that it only seemed to happen when some users was online and have been able to test it a bit

Will continue to test this so if any users With Firewalls /Win 95/ Win98/ Win 2000 / Win ME want to help out feel free to do so but please mess me on icq before so I can be there and see how the server reacts

Set your settings to US if you have a localized version of Win!!

I'm running two servers on a system using Win 98se and ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) - I had to install an *.inf file (derived from MS Knowledge Base) before others could run. I would be happy to help you test if you thought it would be useful ... decklin@pacbell.net

Hey, Lappen. I run WinME through a firewall, but for the type mismatch is mostly caused by codepage errors

found out this the hard way. Couldn't play on most servers 'cause I got the type mismatch error when entering or moving in dungeon. So I changed my System locale to US and now it works just fine.

I got errors on server again from u when u disconected / conected / disconected a few times after the last time u conected the server stopped writing errors, please mail me or respond here

Erm ... sorry Lappen, forgot to switch to US-Codepage when playing (default is German). I'm trying not to let this happen again.
BTW half of the time I connect to your server, I can't see any ping in the game. This is also true for other players

Oki Would appriciate If you think of it since it seems to affect lagg on the server

Yeah I have hread about that but I dont think that it's related to onlyt my server since I have the same on other servers sometimes (The Server and The Copy of Demise that I am playing with is on 2 differnt computers)
