Demise: Rise of the Ku'tan: questions...

Attempting to set up server...first as loopback and then if I can get comfortable with the management aspects will get on the master server. In the meantime, these are the current questions.
1. How long does the monster manger usually take? Is it based on levels mapped or entire dungeon. book says a minute and alrready been 30 with 1800.
2. What does this mean...
An error occurred attempting to write the server dungeon file! and a connection # was terminated message appears in the monitored messages. Did I do something wrong?
3. I am assuming that once monster manager is finished, that I can just start demise and play. Is this correct?

that's how I knew what to do, once I got logged into the server, when there was nothing in dungeon.

Should have seen me trying to figure out how to log onto the server to play...

somewhere along the way I missed reading the "add new" to list of servers. I kept trying through the master server by changing it's ip. Decklin got me straightened out on that..
It was what to do once I first encountered the server screen that had me confused. the connect and disconnect messages especially.
The simple things are usually the hardest
