running Demise 3.1patch (build 353) in Multiplayer Mode. Machine is Gateway Solo 2550, PIII, 433 MHz, 128MB RAM, 500MB free HDD, Video Card is LynxEM (Silicon Motion, Inc.) with 4MB Video RAM, Video driver has been updated last Monday, Sound is ESS Maestro 2E, OS is win2k with service pack 1 (version 5.00.2195), DirextX 7.0, version 4.07.00.0700, Using OpenGL soft rendering. When you enter the dungeon after connecting to a new Demise server, there are thousands of the same error message: "Error 'Subscript out of range' occured in (DEMISE)WObjectModule:GetObject!" ... and there is no random object to be picked up in the dungeon. Only the quest object are here -- at least ;-) The bug description is simple -- although I do understand fixing it might be tricky. I do not believe that this should relate to the video driver!!! So please do not send reply of the sort "please update your video driver with the last version available". This bug has been reported several times. But I do not see it appear in the bug list. It is a bit frustrating to see such a bug happen in a version that was purchased ... P.S.: The bug report form need a big update: latest Demise version are not there, newer DirectX versions exist, ...

I have the same error and some people told me that the only way to solve it is by reinstalling... What must be really done is removing the map (and perhaps droping all quest items before...) Donīt know for sure... It started happening to me when i made my first annotation, so who knows... I would recommend trying three things: 1) Droping all quest items or 2) Try to find the map files and delete them to see if Demise creates new ones without the bug or 3) Reinstall and put back the necessary files. Of course you must do at least a manual backup of your savegame... I didnīt tried this because it is annoying but nothing more. It works... And before i get a map area spell i dont want to remap 17 levels... Hope this helps
