Dungeon doesn't run on my too old p166! anything I can do besides upgrading (I was planning to anyway) I also installed DX8 instead of DX7 - could that be the problem? any suggestions would be appreciated! (if you think that ther's anything besides getting better equipment..)

Could you give more specs? Ram, HD, sound/videocard, etc. (the more the better) What version? Exact nature of crash (eg. while loading dungeon at 75%)?? More info = more chance someone can help you. l8r

I had a dungeon error it would crash at 97%. The install of 3.1 didnt initilize right. Had to uninstall , reinstall, repatch. Works fine.

To Dogg: thanks for the info
To Philm: I didn't install patch yet, bcuz I get the "server currently unavailable" every time. that might improve the game tho, so I will try.
To Duke: Specs: 1 GB Hard Disk, 32 MB Ram, dunno about the graphic and sound card (It's very old- I got the PC in '96), and the dungeon loads fine, but it takes around 2 minutes of disk activity before between each move, so the game is almost unplayable. btw, the demo was slow, but nothing compared to this. (IMHO, the PC's too old, but I really don't have any experience)

Nomad, if you are using the Demise server patching program, it will always do that. You will need to go to the Demise site and download the patches from there.

OK, I patched and now I have an ordinary crash. I'm on step 4 of the patch installation (run demise after installing 3.1 and before those dll files) and the dungeon crashed at 97% of "loading dungeon
data". to summarize: before patch dungeon was running very slow (about 2 minutes before evry move) and now it crashes. I'm sorry I can't give any other info I don't know that much (yet)

can anyone help?
